FEMA and the Elevation Certificate **Home Study**

Upon completion of the course participants will have been exposed to a basic understanding of several components of the NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM (NFIP) of the FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) that requires the specialized knowledge of the professional Surveyor and Mapper in fulfilling the National Flood Act of 1968, as amended.

Participants will be able to learn the intricacies of the ELEVATION CERTIFICATE (FEMA form 81-31) and how to correctly prepare said Elevation Certificates.
