Introduce how the history of surveying can be used to better understand the significant changes that have occurred throughout history to improve the surveying profession. The surveyor will better understand the historical contributions and significance of the individuals discussed and the ways that these particularly chosen figures have shaped our past. At course conclusion the students will be able to better recognize the roles which individuals have played to shape the evolving profession, techniques, and laws as they are today.
